Within the construction industry, sheet material choice is limited. Timber based products and laminates have their limitations and all are problematic environmentally both in production and at end of life.
In its pursuit of innovative solutions to today’s problems Swift Invent has developed a new choice for clients, contractors and manufacturers looking for an affordable high quality, high performance product with a massively reduced environmental impact, supporting BREEAM assessments and site waste management plans: Vertech®.
Vertech® is a unique and highly engineered board manufactured entirely from recycled plastic raw materials sourced from curb-side collection schemes and post industrial waste. Vertech® has potential utility in a myriad of applications from laboratory furniture to site hoardings.
Vertech® is not only made from waste but also uses sustainable electricity in its manufacture. Its production does not utilise or release hazardous chemicals into the environment while actively removing waste destined for landfill. Fully recyclable into new Vertech® boards at end of its life, Vertech® is a true “closed loop” product.
Vertech® is derived from technology that has already been proven as a replacement for steel, timber and concrete in the manufacture of railway sleepers and in the construction of bridges to support loads in excess of 80 Tonnes.
Companies with potential applications for this technology should discuss their requirements with Swift Invent.
