Gold for Kings Place
On Tuesday 9th June 2009 Swift Horsman were awarded the Gold for our outstanding work on the Kings Place Auditorium at the AIS Awards.
The following is taken from the AIS website:
"Kings Place incorporates the first concert hall to be built in London since the Barbican in 1982 and Swift Horsman secured the manufacture and installation of the specialist joinery package against stiff competition.
This showcase of joinery skills is in every instance manufactured from European Oak that was personally selected by Swift Horsman with the client and the architect to ensure only the best material was utilised in the manufacture.
The design of the concert hall by Dixon Jones Architects combined with Arups class O and acoustic performance demands, Swift Horsman's' manufacture and installation expertise along with the beautiful timber used, delivered a stunning visual appearance and a leading venue for the performing arts."
Congratulations to all involved in this remarkable project.
